Refund Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
Any charge can be refunded in full within 14 days, for any reason or no reason. Email support@playasymptote.com from the address on your account and say you want a refund. You do not have to explain why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
What is covered
- Monthly Pass. Every charge, including automatic renewals, not only your first one. If a renewal catches you by surprise, that renewal is refundable for 14 days.
- Founding Pass. Refundable for 14 days from purchase. When it is refunded, the Founder badge and lifetime access are removed and the place is returned to the pool for someone else.
Timing
The window runs for 14 days from the date of the charge you want refunded. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, and usually appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
After the window
You can cancel a Monthly Pass at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not normally refund a period that is already underway once 14 days have passed, with two exceptions:
- If we materially reduce what a Pass provides, you may cancel and ask for a pro-rata refund of the unused portion, whenever that happens.
- If we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused portion automatically.
We also refund duplicate or clearly accidental charges at any time. If something has gone wrong with billing, write to us. This policy is a floor, not a ceiling.
When we may decline
We may decline a refund where an account has been terminated for the fair-play breaches listed in section 3 of the Terms (automation, answer extraction or multiple accounts), or where refunds are being requested repeatedly as a way to use the Pass without paying for it.
If you are in the EU or the UK
You have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days. Because access begins immediately, you are asked to consent to immediate performance at checkout and acknowledge that you lose the automatic statutory right once the service has been fully performed.
That does not matter here, because our own 14-day promise above is given regardless of whether the statutory right applies, and it covers renewals too, which the statutory right does not. Nothing in this policy limits any non-excludable right you have under the consumer law of your own country.
