Creator Programme Terms

These terms are between you and Boolean Productions, which runs Asymptote (“we”). They apply on top of our general Terms of Service. By joining the creator programme you agree to them.

1. Your link

You get a personal link (playasymptote.com/r/your-name). When somebody opens it, we remember for 30 days that you sent them. If they open two creators’ links, the first one counts.

2. What your followers get

Anybody who creates a new account through your link starts with 50 bonus coins on top of the usual welcome. Coins are an in-game currency for Squiggle packs; they cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money.

3. What you earn

• 10 cents for each qualified player. A qualified player is a person who creates a new Asymptote account after opening your link, solves at least one problem, and comes back between 12 and 48 hours after signing up and solves at least two more.
• 15% of what your players pay for anything on Asymptote, for 6 months from the day each player signed up, after the payment processor’s fee. If a purchase is refunded, the share it earned you is taken back.

These never count: accounts that existed before they opened your link, your own accounts, and anybody we reasonably believe is not a real, separate person.

4. Fake and automated sign-ups

You may only bring in real people. You must not use bots, scripts, paid click or sign-up services, incentivised sign-ups (paying or rewarding people to sign up), multiple accounts, or anything that creates accounts or play that is not a real person choosing to play. We check every player, and we may:

• refuse to count, or remove, any player we believe is fake, along with what they earned you;
• hold players for review when a link brings in an unusual number in a short time (for example more than 500 in a day or 2000 in a week, or many from one network or device) and pay them once checked;
• pause or close your link, and keep any unpaid balance, if you break this section.

5. Getting paid

• Everything you earn waits 7 days (our refund window) before it can be withdrawn.
• You can withdraw once you have $10.00 available. Anything less carries over, month to month; it is never lost while your account is in good standing.
• We pay to the PayPal account you give us, normally within 7 days of a request. PayPal’s fee comes out of the amount paid. Your first withdrawal is checked by a person before it is sent.
• You are responsible for any tax on what you earn, wherever you live.

6. Telling your audience

You must make clear that you are paid to promote Asymptote, using your platform’s paid-partnership label or #ad, wherever the law or the platform requires it. You must not say you own Asymptote, speak for us, or promise anything we do not offer.

7. Our name and your content

You may use the Asymptote name, screenshots and any graphics we give you to promote it. You must not register any name, domain or social handle containing “Asymptote”. Your own content stays yours.

8. Changes and ending

We may change these terms or the rates; changes apply only to players and sales after we tell you, never to what you have already earned.

We may remove any creator from the programme at any time, for any reason, including any breach of these terms, our Terms of Service or our community rules, and you may leave at any time. When it ends, we pay out your available balance (at least $10.00, or whatever is available if we ended it without cause), except where section 4 lets us keep it.

9. The rest

You are an independent creator, not our employee, agent or partner. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If something goes wrong, email support@playasymptote.com first; most things can be sorted out in a reply.
